An Effective Dimmer
Patio lights can be great for quiet evenings around a table or a fire pit, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to dim them for a combination of safety and ambience. This smart dimmer has a remote and allows use with Google Home hubs or other networks as well, allowing control via smartphone–for those who regularly lose remotes–even when not at home.As soon as plugged in, this device can be used with the remote, and it effectively gives the full range between 0 and 100% output with dimmable lamps. My dimmer worked smoothly, without big jumps in brightness while reducing or increasing the brightness. As expected, the on and off buttons turn the lights completely off, or restore them to the last level of brightness selected with the dimmer switch. Those using Google Home will have this and other features available from their phone with the app that automatically seeks a connection with Google Home devices until it is setup or declined.The body of the dimmer seems to be tough and weather resistant, but only time can tell just how much that is true. The remote feels flimsy, but it will probably do the job. I like the fact that it uses CR2032 button cells instead of the harder-to-find and more-expensive 5 volt batteries.Overall, this seems to be an effective dimmer.

Works well, one dimmer only.
This dimmer is inexpensive and sets up very quickly with Apple HomeKit. One issue is that it is not a dual dimmer, it is a single dimmer control with two outlets, on the same dimming circuit.

Perfect solution for outdoor lighting
For the price, this DEWENWILS smart dimmer plug is GREAT for the purpose I wanted — which is to power bistro lights on my deck. I needed a product that was weather-resistant, which this meets by being IP44 rated. I also wanted something that could be turned on/off with Alexa, as we use it extensively in our house, while also having a a switch. Finally, the dimming capabilities are the best feature, as it allows us to ‘tone down’ the lights a bit for when you want to enjoy the deck without feeling like you’re sitting in a parking lot. This switch is super easy to install and set up, and I had no connectivity issues to my Alexa. It is compatible with my iPhone and Alexa devices, and provides all the functionality I want. I highly recommend this switch, especially for outdoor lighting!
