   No Complaints
   I’ve wanted to wait a couple of months before writing this review and so far:- Installation was straight forward (Had both paper instructions and a YouTube video)- The biometric reader is a nice touch and is mostly how I use it (But I tested the ID lock / key and didn’t have any issues)- Battery life so far is good, haven’t had to recharge it- App works well and has many features like auto-locking, notifications, one-time password, etc- The keypad itself is pretty solid, I try messing with it to see if I can move it but it’s stable (Assuming installation was done properly)- The button on the back to unlock it is a nice addition (You can also just turn the lock pad as well)Overall you can go with a cheaper alternative but for the peace of mind and the extra features, I would recommend this brand. FYI, I installed this in my garage door that’s connected to the mud room.

   The mechanical part of the lock was extremely easy to install and the app was easy and worked
   It arrived today and it was ordered to replace a Schlage keypad lock which I’ve had for about 5 years and then it died and it’s no longer under warranty. So I bought this one because of the rating. It was easy to remove the Schlage lock and very very easy to install this lock in its place. I didn’t have to do any drilling at all. All I needed was a Phillips screwdriver. The app was very, very easy to navigate and seem to work perfectly. If anything changes I’ll update this review, but as of now I’m very very pleased with it

   Deplorable App, Useless Support – Avoid This Lock
   The TCL D2 Smart Lock came nicely packaged and installation was straightforward. I swapped out my deadbolt, added the batteries, and downloaded the TCL app as directed. That’s where everything fell apart.The app does not list locks anywhere—only TVs, sound bars, and AC units. After spinning forever, it says “need help?” and offers a “manual add” option, but that doesn’t exist. I tried on both iOS and Android with the exact same issue.Naturally, I called TCL support. After a lot of basic questions, they asked me to email screenshots and my order number. I did, and was told to wait “2–3 business days” for a response. Hours later, I got an email saying my order number wasn’t a TCL order (it was an Amazon order number) and I should contact the seller for app support. Excuse me? I need to contact the seller for tech support on TCL’s own app?Even worse: there is no way to program this lock manually without the app. Right now, I can only lock the door from the inside. I can’t use it to actually get into my house. That makes this lock nothing more than a shiny piece of metal.I emailed them back to clarify, and of course—no response yet. So now I’ll be waiting until at least Monday to maybe hear back.This whole experience has been beyond frustrating. Deplorable tech support, a garbage app, and a product that’s completely unusable right out of the box. I ordered two of these and honestly, I’m ready to box them both up and send them straight back.Initial impression: absolutely awful. Save yourself the headache and buy a lock from literally any other brand.

   Amazing Lock — Easy Install, Sleek Tech, Highly Recommend!My hubby installed this lock yesterday and I’m already in love with it! Installation was a breeze — it only took about 15 minutes, especially since we already had a door hole from a previous lock. The instructions were clear and simple, and I appreciated having both a printed manual and a video option for setup.The app is awesome — super responsive and user-friendly. Setup was incredibly easy, and the palm vein recognition feature works like a dream. It feels like something out of the future but is totally practical for everyday use.We’ve only had it for a day, but I’m already planning to buy one for my daughter’s house.    A good smart lock with built in wifi great APP and a huge 10,000mAH rechargeable battery.Installation was pretty easy took about 30min after juggling with deadbolt and external and internal assembly. Battery charging takes 4 hours. Setup was easy through the APP. No wasting battery on Bluetooth to wifi gateways like other licks this lock has wifi built in! Calibration was easy through the APP. Settings through the APP is also simple. This also has a door bell that I muted as I have a separate video doorbell. I am interested to know how long this battery will last as the previous lock I had from competitor lasted 4 days only on Duracell batteries (4 batteries of 2200 mAH). For this one I am thinking of ordering a spare rechargeable battery. Overall a very good sturdy and simple lock to install, program and operate.

   I have replaced my old smart lock due to broken gear. I chose the TCL D2 Pro Smart Lock due to its palm vein recognition. Installation was fine and since installation guide was provided. The smart lock was responsive and fast. I did able to upload also my housemate palm vein so everytime they use to unlock the door, the app gave a notification who unlocks and locks it. I like also the rechargeable battery that comes with it. I am not longer to buy new batteries but just to recharge it. The touchless feature was so great.

   The keypad sometimes doesn’t want to kick in when it’s super cold, but the vein reader works fine. It’s plenty fast, not that others are so slow they’d affect your life.Feels high quality. Looks good.

   App doesn’t support device in Canada. Can’t setup which renders unusable. Frustrating to install and App doesn’t recognize. Don’t waste your time. TCL didn’t think this through.
