✨Apple-Fresh Clean Without the Stripping
This shampoo did exactly what I needed it to. I hadn’t washed my hair in two days, so it was definitely on the oily side, and I was worried I’d have to double cleanse but one wash got it completely clean. It left my scalp feeling refreshed, not tight or dry, which is rare for something that actually deep cleans. The texture lathered beautifully without being too thick, and rinsed out easily. The scent is also a win like crisp apple with a hint of herbs 🍏, super fresh but not overpowering. My hair felt soft afterward, not weighed down or overly slick. I love that it didn’t irritate my sensitive scalp at all. The bottle has a sleek, clean aesthetic too, which I always appreciate in the shower. If your scalp tends to get oily but you don’t want to use something harsh, this strikes a really good balance. Will definitely keep this one in rotation 🌿.

What are you hiding from me?!
The first thing I noticed when I looked at this box was a sticker that was clearly intentionally placed over the “N1” on the front of the box. I could see through the sticker but it was obvious it was put there to obscure that writing. There was also a white sticker placed on the side of the box over the words “stem cell”. This all felt…weird to me. Why would a product try to cover up writing on the box after the fact?When I opened it up, the same with the bottle. White stickers covered the same two things on the bottle. This really felt shady and weird to me and I see that other reviewers had the same packaging experience. As a consumer, whether I can see what’s under the sticker or not, there’s something about this that feels both cheap and sneaky. It also just looks incredibly tacky on a $30 bottle of shampoo.Now, the shampoo itself is definitely something worth praising. I love the smell of it (I don’t really know how to describe it) and it lathers really well. For that reason, I feel a little can go a long way. My hair felt really nice after rinsing it out. In the winter, I typically wash my hair every other day, but the second day it tends to be oilier and need dry shampoo. On my second day after washing with this, I was content with how my hair looked in the morning and I skipped the dry shampoo, so I would say it works fairly well for getting my scalp cleaner.

Gentle Shampoo That Cleans Well Without Drying Hair
This shampoo feels lightweight and gentle. I think it cleans the scalp well without stripping my hair. It lathers nicely so you don’t have to use too much. It rinses clean and it leaves my hair feeling fresh rather than coated or heavy. I have long, thick hair and I noticed that my hair feels softer after washing. I think that the squalane helps keep it hydrated without weighing it down. It works well for regular every day use and doesn’t irritate my scalp at all. The bottle is pretty large so it should last a long time. Overall, I think this is a good value for a daily shampoo that focuses on scalp balance and leaves hair soft and manageable.

Review from someone with oily, fine, straight hair & has been using Native shampoo & conditioner
I was specifically interested in the reduction in oiliness, 24-hour oil control and extreme volume claims. I have long, fine, limp, straight hair, if I want it to look clean and not weighed down, I must wash it every morning, emphasis on every morning. If I wash my hair at night, by the time I wake up my hair will already be weighed down by oil. If I want volume, I need to use a volume booster, blow dry it upside down and finish with a texture spray. I am not a fan of my hair having a stiff/product like feel, so I do not love doing that. Also, I struggle with acne breakouts (I am 38) on my shoulders, chest and back so I was hoping the oil control properties of the shampoo plus the clean and safe ingredients claim would help, or at least not make that worse.PRIOR SHAMPOO: Native Volumizing, this is the best drug store shampoo/conditioner I have found so far at a decent price.RESULTS with Just as I am Shampoo & Native Conditioner: I only used the shampoo, not conditioner. The shampoo was heavenly to use, it lathered well, smelled amazing (described below). Since my hair is so oily, I use the shampoo and rinse twice method then apply conditioner only on the bottom 2/3 of my hair. I let my hair airdry without any products. It feels lighter and softer. I was hoping the scent would linger and it does. As for volume, I do not believe there is a difference. I will still need to wash my hair every morning. I am going to continue using this shampoo until it runs out. I will add this shampoo to my Amazon list, it it goes on deal down the line, I will consider rebuying it. It is hard to compete with the ease of finding Native shampoo and conditioner and for the cost of about $10 a bottle. I have not used the Just as I am shampoo long enough to see if it hurt/helped my acne prone skin.SMELL: It smells amazing, it has a perfumy, high-end spa scent. I do like the smell better then the Native options I have tried to far. I am not familiar with what fig smells like, but I can smell what I assume to be fig evenly balanced with a floral scent. The fig scent adds depth to the floral scent. If you like floral fragrances, I believe there is a good chance you will enjoy this one. It is strong, which I personally like but it could be too much for individuals sensitive to perfumes.

Loving it. This daily scalp shampoo has a yummy fig scent, removes oil buildup, hydrating without leaving a residue.Your hair feels soft, smooth and manageable after even one use. Shampoo lathers quickly and easily refreshing the scalp and rinses clean without residue. Shampoo is gentle enough to use everyday. ‘Just as I Am’ comes in a 16.2 ounce plastic bottle with a hand pump and minimalist labels and packaging. Shampoo is plant-based and Korean made.

Has a nice light smell, which is pretty much unisex. I do find that the price is quite high for a bottle of shampoo though.

Smells so good, and lathers so well
This shampoo has a phenomenal lather, it felt so soothing and I just knew my hair was going to be cleaner than ever. It smells really nice, and my hair was so soft even before applying conditioner. It took only a small amount of product even though I have long hair to wash my hair, and I honestly could’ve used even less than what I used the first time because it’s THAT sudsy. I’m very happy with this shampoo..
