Slammo is an action packed 2-on-2 game that is similar to volleyball, but with a smaller ball and a circular net. The rules are similar to volleyball where each team has 3 hits to spike the ball into the ankle high circular net. Teams volley back and forth until a team is unable to return the ball to the net. The first team to 21 points win. We engineered an improved design over the competition that provides 100% net coverage and eliminates the hated ‘pocket shot’. The Slammo Set includes two competition size 9cm balls and also one 12cm training ball for beginners or younger players. The game can be quickly assembled and it fits neatly into the included backpack style carrying case. The game is a great workout and much easier to setup than full size volleyball. Recommended for ages 12+.

11 year old boys had a blast using it and priced reasonably
This was so much cheaper than other name brands. a bunch of 11 year old boys played with it even after the sunset. It was a hit at the sleep over. My 14 year recommended it because his high school baseball coach brought it out for team fun and he said despite how it looks, it was really fun.

Not just for kids. Perfect backyard game!
We bought this for a quick backyard game during graduation. It turned into a favorite. The bag is great to carry anywhere. It sets up and take ls down easily and yet is very sturdy. It is not just for kids, adults have a blast too. My kids take it to their friends house too. Everyone loves being outside and playing games together.

Slammo or SPIKE BALL ???
I was originally introduced to this game with the “spike ball” brand name. I had a blast playing with friends and so I began looking into buying my own set. I went with Slammo because of the price and it seemed to be a solid “knock off”. I believe that spike ball is probably a higher quality product but Slammo is also a high quality and great product and played just as well in my opinion.Here are some differences I noticed having played both sets.***Slammo has removable net anchors where spike ball has the anchors built right onto the black frame (this might initially take a little more time to set up with Slammo because you need to spread them out evenly on the black frame in order to put the net on correctly. However, once we began playing I did not notice a difference in how the ball responded to the net.)***Slammo does not have a locking mechanism when you insert the black poles into the green legs, where with spike ball when you insert the frame into the legs it sort of clicks or locks into place (I personally preferred the Slammo set in this regard because it was quicker and smoother to set up and once the net is on, that force of the net pulling on the frame would prevent separation anyways…)***Slammo green balls feel a bit thinner and bouncier than than the thicker spike ball yellow balls. (This is probably a personal preference but I think I prefer the spike ball balls. They were a bit more predictable than the very bouncy slammo balls. However, the Slammo balls still worked fine.(also the Slammo kit comes with a slightly larger training ball which would probably help beginners play the game.)All in all this is a great purchase if you like the game but want to save $20 compared to spike ball. There is nothing that would prevent me from giving this 5 stars and buying it again.To sum up the comparison, having played both I do think that spike ball is a slightly superior product due to the thicker balls and slightly more rigid frame. Plus the spike ball brand has a big following so if you want to make sure you “look cool” maybe spike ball is for you? With that being said I am glad I went with Slammo and gave it a 5 star rating because I saved $20 dollars and it is a great high quality comparable product.I bet most people would not be able to distinguish the two different sets besides the color.

Bought a few of these for school playground use. Good game but kids can destroy them quite fast due to the plastic parts. Good product though.

As soon as I was exposed to this game when someone brought it out at a party I knew I was hooked…and had to have it this summer! Shortly after that I was on Amazon buying a set for myself. It arrived within a week, which was awesome because I had a few events I wanted to bring it to and could not wait to play.As far as the actual product goes, all of the parts arrived as posted. I’ve only had it for a few weeks so I can’t comment on the longevity of the parts, but everything has worked perfectly up to this point. And I’ve had some pretty intense Slammo battles.Let’s just say wherever I’ve brought this game to everyone has got over-the-top excited, it has become the focus of the party/event, and people have been lining up to play. Moral of the story, buy one!
