From a super smeller who hates strong smell — no reaction to this scent!
No surprise Dove has entered the trendy world of scalp care, but it was a big surprise they’ve solved the two biggest bugaboos I’ve had with scalp things: scent & absorption. I’m a super smeller and can’t handle artificial smells, especially with my asthma. Yes, this smell is strong, but, no, it’s not cheap-perfumy or super floral. It smells like clean laundry (or “Dove clean,” as they would say) and I honestly like it. Most imptly, I’ve had zero response to it (headache or breathing-wise), even when some of it lingers on my pillowcase. So if you’ve got a strong nose like mine, maybe don’t be afraid to give this a try anyway? You might be happy to finally have a smell you can handle. Second, the absorption is superior to any scalp products I’ve used. It’s milky and with glycerin, so I expected it to be sticky. Zero stick. Fast absorption. Did not make my hair (or scalp) look wet or shiny. It’s like it wasn’t there.So why am I giving 4 stars? Mainly because I can’t prove it fully de-itched my scalp yet. I’m still struggling with that. Secondly, I must’ve put too much on in a few locations and failed to spread it because I developed two raised scalp bumps, which I’m assuming are like scalp zits. They weren’t itchy and were temporary, down after three days, but the correlation with where/when I put this on made me think the rich glycerin and the dimethicone may clog pores, which has happened to me before, so make sure to spread it well. I think I was so impressed by the absorption that I didn’t rub it in everywhere (user error). The box even says to only use about 3x/wk, so I suspect I overdid it in my excitement! (Really, the smell doesn’t bother me at all!)

Easy to apply, not greasy!
I was excited to try this product from Dove because my scalp has been pretty itchy, especially with the have the dry heat on in the house. Then when I don’t wash my hair a few days and it’s itchy, I itch and itch and itch and in turn, get dandruff flakes.Applying this product is so easy. Just a few drops all over and I spread it all around on my scalp with my fingers. The scent reminds me of regular Dove soap. I was pleasantly surprised that the formula doesn’t leave my hair greasy at all. My hair is shiny but not in a greasy “I haven’t washed my hair in 5 days” shine. Overall I really like it and will continue to use it and document my experience.

Requesting for replacement
I just received my order today but not really happy . When I got the small box for it , it’s wet and already opened and when I checked the product, the upper part is already broke and some of the liquids from the product already spilled . Please process a replacement or refund if possible . I can’t send the product back because it’s already broke .

Surprisingly useful
It feels cool and comfortable when applied to the scalp, without any irritation or strange smell. After using it for a while, my scalp is noticeably less dry and itchy than before, and my dandruff has improved significantly. Most importantly, it’s not oily, so it feels completely weightless during the day.It’s really friendly to dry, dandruff-prone scalps. It’s not one of those products that “cures” immediately, but it slowly repairs the scalp, and I feel my scalp is becoming more and more stable.

Leaky applicator, strong fragrance
I was very hopeful about this product, but couldn’t love it.I wash my hair every single day due to medical reasons and my scalp tends to get very dry and itchy. I’ve never used anything to moisturize my scalp before and was very excited to try this product. My first impression was already poor when I received a leaky bottle in a soggy cardboard packaging. The bottle and applicator didn’t appear broken, so I’m not sure how the product leaked during shipment. Over the weeks that I’ve used it, I noticed that the product continued to leak in small amounts from where the applicator and the bottle touch when closed. So there’s always dry product on the bottle at any given time, around the based of the applicator, no matter how often I clean it. I’m not sure if mine is defective or if it’s just the design. Either way, I can’t help but feel like a traditional dropper would’ve worked way better.As for the solution itself, I was very surprised by how strong the fragrance is. It’s not necessarily irritating, but it’s not something I’d like to be this strongly scented. I usually enjoy scented products, but this is so perfume-y, it often overpowers a lot of my favorite hair products, and the fragrances either clash, or I can smell it over my other fragrances. Don’t love that.When applied, it does provide itchiness relief and it is an effective moisturizer. I do like that it’s rather lightweight too. It feels like it might be greasy when you frost apply it, but it dries pretty cleanly after a a few minutes. My scalp tends to get greasy very easily and I was surprised to notice that this product didn’t add to it. I almost feel like it helped with it a bit. Then again, I wash my hair every single day so it’s hard to say what the long-term benefits are.Overall, I was disappointed by the leaky bottle and strong fragrance, and I’m not sure I’ll continue using this product. Might look for a less fragrant replacement since the moisturizing effect is actually helpful and pleasant.

Absorbs nicely into my scalp
There’s scalp dandruff serum worked pretty well on my scalp. It absorbs quickly into my skin. It doesn’t make my hair feel greasy or look greasy either. It comes in a pump style bottle that is easy to squirt out. It also has a nice light fragrance. I like the relief that I’m getting so far and seeing less flakes.
