Love this body oil with nourishing, natural ingredients by Colleen Rothschild!
I love skincare and beauty products, so I was excited to try The Ritual Body Oil with Safflower and Baobab by Colleen Rothschild, a well known and respected luxury skincare brand. Everything about this product is elegant, including the tall amber glass bottle with raised gold lettering and a pump dispenser and cap, that makes dispensing it easy and mess free. The ingredient list is only 10 items long, and includes the following items in order:safflower seed oil, which moisturizes, soothes inflammation, and supports the skin’s natural barrier;squalane, which moisturizes, softens, and smooths skin;baobab seed oil, which moisturizes and promotes skin elasticity;avocado oil, which moisturizes and is a source of fatty acids and antioxidants;sea buckthorn oil, which is a good source of vitamins, antioxidants, and Omega fatty acids;borage seed oil, which is a source of Omega-6 and soothes inflammation;bisabolol, which is derived from chamomile, soothes sensitive skin;ganoderma lucidum (mushroom) extract, which is anti-inflammatory and a source of antioxidants;Vitamin E, which is an antioxidant defense and protects the skin from environmental damage;and fragrance, which is described as “citron, bergamot, and pink grapefruit, balanced with earthy green notes.”This body oil is free of free of petroleum, mineral oil, silicones, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. I like to apply it immediately after a shower while I’m still damp, and the oil spreads easily and absorbs quickly, leaving skin hydrated, soft and smooth with a very subtle shine and without a greasy or oily look or feeling. I apply one pump per limb/torso, but with the large size of the bottle I think it should last perhaps up to two months of daily usage, depending upon the amount used. It dries quickly, and I can dress soon afterward without worrying about staining my clothes with oil. The scent, which is primarily citrus, is lovely and not too strong. I can still use my regular perfume before I leave the house without worrying about the scents clashing.Overall, I’m very impressed with this oil. My skin, which is mature and dry, absolutely loves it! I feel that this is a well formulated product of very high quality at a surprisingly reasonable price considering the quality of the ingredients and the luxury brand name. This is a great choice as a gift for others or for yourself!

Surprisingly Affordable Luxury For Dry Skin
INITIAL REACTION:I honestly wondered if this was just going to be another “nice” body serum, but wow, was I wrong. For context, my skin is constantly dry and thirsty, bordering on dehydrated, so I’m always looking for heavy duty hydration without it feeling heavy or suffocating. I’ve used a couple of body serums before, but this one is in a league of its own. It’s truly a luxurious experience from start to finish.APPLICATION & FEEL:I applied this right after stepping out of the shower. I gently patted my skin so it was still a little damp, and then applied the oil. It’s incredibly fast-absorbing which is a big win in my book You know how some oils can just sit on your skin? Not this one. It melts right in leaving zero greasy residue, just pure softness. Seriously, I cannot stop touching my skin. It feels so supple and nourished…like a silk pillowcase. If you thought your current moisturizer was good, prepare for a major upgrade.SCENT & EXPERIENCE:The scent is absolutely delightful. It’s a very clean, bright, and invigorating citrus blend. Think subtle bergamot. It gives the whole routine a spa like feel without being overpowering. It elevates a simple moisturization step into something you actually look forward to.WHY IT WORKS FOR DRY SKIN:The formula is rich in great ingredients like safflower and baobab oils, which I know are excellent for providing intense moisture and supporting the skin’s barrier function. Plus, it has things like borage seed oil and bisabolol to help calm and strengthen dry, sensitive areas. It gives a fantastic glow without looking oily.IS IT WORTH THE PRICE:Yes, it’s a higher-end product, but the results totally justify the cost. I was actually expecting this to be nearly double the price, so finding out it’s more accessible was a great relief for my wallet! A little goes a long way, and the quality of how your skin looks and feels after just one use is noticeable. I already know I’ll be purchasing this when I run out. It’s a justifiable splurge for a daily luxury my body didn’t know it needed and now doesn’t want to live without.

A more mature scented body oil that lasts all day long
I love this body oil! As a native Floridian with very fair skin, during the winters, my skin gets so dry! I did try this oil on one of my legs, and not on the other one, and then went for a walk with my dogs outside in the cold, and slept. I could tell a noticeable difference between the leg that had the oil on it, and it still looked nourished and moisturized. The consistency of this oil is very hard to describe, but not in a bad way. It seems like it would be really thin when you first pump it onto your skin because it is so runny, and then you’re rubbing it on your skin and it feels thicker than you first thought, but then it feels really light while it’s on your skin.The scent of this is really nice. It is more earthy and true fruit noted, rather than Sweet, or artificial in anyway. Which I really appreciate, it reminds me of something that you might get at a spa, or one of those fancy shampoos that they use at a fancy hair salon. The amount of oil that comes in this absolutely makes us worth the price. I think that this will last quite a while given that I only really use two small pumps for each leg. I really enjoy this brand, and I am thankful to have given this body oil a try.
