Impressive!
Great device. No issues installing.

Conceptually a good idea. Works well with smaller easy to raise blinds. Big blinds not so much.
Works but struggles with my large blinds. One of them it cannot move. I beleive the RYSE motor is stronger but 30% more expensive – I wish I had gone that route.

DO NOT BUY
This product is horrible – do not buy. It works smoothly for one second and then stops working. It almost broke my existing blinds trying to overwork itself

Exactly what I needed — works with my existing blinds!
I don’t normally write reviews, but this little device deserves it. I’ve been wanting smart blinds for a while but didn’t want to replace my existing roller shades since I am renting and my landlord won’t do it.So far I’m super impressed with this smart shade motor. Installation was unbelievably simple if you follow their instructions step-by-step. Don’t try to figure it out yourself because things I thought would be intuitive, the steps told me to do it a different way than what I would have thought. But by following the instructions, it literally took me one minute to install and another few minutes to set up the pairing/calibration.The motor is surprisingly quiet and opens/closes my shades very smoothly. I set schedules and now my shade just opens automatically in the morning so one less chore to deal with. I also have it connected to Alexa and use voice commands to control the shade – so far so good! No complaints, especially at this price point!

Very impressed that this works with verticle blinds
This smart blind controller is a game changer. This was one of the last things I had to do to fully enable my home as a smart home.It was easy to install. I actually connected this to my vertical blinds. I was afraid it wouldn’t work after reading some reviews. I’m so glad I didn’t listen.I had to trim my chain a little. It was just too long in my opinion. And the connector kept getting caught in the wheel. So I trimmed it where it wouldn’t come close to the wheel while operating the blinds. The wheel that was already inserted worked for me.Once that was connected, I moved on to programming the remote to the start and stop settings. This was a bit challenging for me. My controllers were on the left. But I wanted it to open from the right. Up was down. Down was up. Open was close. Close was open. I worked it out. They now operate how I want them to.Then it was time to connect to the app. This gave me a little trouble. But it turns out, I had to use the doggle. It connected right away. I was able to link it to Alexa. It was on then. I added it to my nightly routine that prepared my home for bed. I’m so impressed with this device. It works with any chain controller. Be sure to scan the qr code for the instructions.

Scan the QR code and use the on-line Instructions to get it to work.
At first I was very frustrated re: how to get the app to work. Then on a lark I tried one last time. Here’s my pro-tips. First, scan the QR code. Then download the app. This is the important part: third, select the On-line instructions and ignore everything else. Ignore the printed stuff, the app, whatever. That on-line instructions is gold and works flawlessly. After spending HOURS trying to get it to work, trust me – go to the on-line instructions. Good luck.

Don’t recommend if you have multiple blinds
Works but not how I was hoping it would. I tried these bc they’re were cheaper than competitive brands but In hindsight I probably should have went with the more expensive ones for what I was needing them for.Installation instructions need improvement. It only tells you how to physically install the device then you have to guess to actually set it up to work. Some of the parts in the box aren’t mentioned at all so hope this helps- for cordless option you need to plug up the usb drive looking thing into a power source close to the main unit. Download the app, then hold the small button on the bottom of the main unit until it blinks blue to sync with your phone. It’s not super precise. There’s about a 5%-10% margin on the open and close positions so sometimes my blinds will be a bit short of touching the ground and sometimes it will go too far creating slack in the blinds and pool at the ground. Because of this, if you have two blinds next to each other that you were hoping to pair so they open and close at the same time this will really annoy you bc they will never be even.Lastly, the app glitches pretty often. I’ll hit the open button and nothing happens. So I have to press other random buttons and then press the open button again for it to actually open.So if you’re purchasing this for one single blind and just want something simple that will open and close it with your phone after pressing a couple of buttons then I think it’s ok.If you have multiple you want to pair I wouldn’t recommend.

Needs more power
motor does not have enough power to raise extra long or extra wide shades.

This smart driver was a bit of a gamble for me since I didn’t want to replace my entire roller shade setup just to get some automation. The box comes with everything you need the motor, a remote which is nice because I hate buying extra hubs just to make one thing work. Sticking it to the wall was easy enough, you just have to line up the gear with the chain so there’s enough tension. It feels solid once it’s mounted, not like a cheap toy that’s going to fall off the drywall the moment it tries to pull some actual weight. My experience is a little unique because my actual blind chain is damaged. there’s a section of beads that is snapped. Because of that, the motor can only pull the shade up about halfway before it hits the broken spot in the chain and can’t feed it through anymore. Honestly though, that’s entirely on my blinds, not the device. It actually surprised me how much torque this thing has, it pulls the shade up smoothly and quickly right until it hits that snag. It doesn’t whine or struggle, it just handles the load surprisingly well.I mainly use the remote when I’m in bed and don’t want to get up, and it’s responsive without any lag. The remote is honestly the best part because of how simple it is to use. It’s just open, close, and stop….. no weird combinations or confusing symbols to memorize. I keep it on my nightstand and it works instantly without me having to unlock my phone or fiddle with an app first thing in the morning. I haven’t had to charge it yet, so the battery seems to hold up fine for daily use. If your blind chains are actually in one piece , this is going to be a fantastic upgrade. It’s powerful, simple, and saves you from having to manually crank the shades every morning. I would definitely recommend it

I am a big fan of home automation, and this is my first play with making our existing blinds “smart”.I decided to try this Aura driver on our bedroom blinds. It is designed to work with roller blinds, but I have had no problems using it with our vertical blinds.Fitting was easy. It comes with four different cogs for different-sized chains, but the default one was fine for me. I used the included self adhesive pad at first to make sure I was happy with how it worked and I may screw it to the wall later. You just attach the adhesive pad to the back of the device, hook the cable from your blinds over the cog, pull tight but not too tight, and then stick the Aura driver to the side. The instructions are fine for the actual fitting but very poor on how to pair with the app. You can use either the Tuya or Smartlife app. I decided to use the Tuya app, then I can integrate it with Home Assistant.Once set up, it works perfectly on our vertical blinds, and I can tilt them to any angle I require. You can add schedules for opening and closing in the app, and because I have them integrated in Home Assistant, I can set them to gradually open 30 minutes after sunrise, etc. They are a good security feature for your home as it looks like someone is still at home whilst you are on holiday.Battery life appears to be great. It is quoted at being around two months, but I think we will get longer than that.It does come with a physical remote control if you prefer to use that over an app.Overall, I have been really impressed and can recommend it.

This little motorised unit does exactly what it promises: turns a standard beaded‑chain roller blind into a smart blind with minimal effort. The concept is straightforward, and in practice it works well — but the cost feels a bit steep given the simplicity of the hardware.🛠️ Setup & InstallationGenuinely easy to install — feed the beaded chain through the cog, tension it, and stick the unit to the wall with the included adhesive pad.No drilling required unless you want extra security.Works only with roller blinds that use a single beaded chain. Not compatible with:Venetian blindsCord‑operated blindsDual‑chain mechanismsFor the intended use case, setup is quick and painless.📱 Control OptionsCan be operated via:The dedicated appThe included remoteOn‑device buttonsAlexa or Google Home (no hub required)Voice control works smoothly once connected to Wi‑Fi.Scheduling is straightforward — handy for privacy, security, or waking up to natural light.🔋 Battery & PowerRechargeable via USB‑C.Battery life is excellent — easily lasts weeks because the motor only runs for a few seconds per use.Using a power bank for charging is a practical solution if the unit is mounted high up.⚙️ PerformanceThe motor is strong enough for typical roller blinds up to around 3 kg.Operation is smooth and reliable.Noise level is acceptable — not silent, but not intrusive.Once set up, it just works.💬 Real‑World ImpressionA clever, compact device that adds smart functionality without replacing your blinds.Installation is genuinely beginner‑friendly.Works reliably and integrates well with smart home systems. The only real drawback is the price, which feels high for what is essentially a small motor with Wi‑Fi.⭐ VerdictA well‑designed, easy‑to‑use smart blind motor that performs exactly as advertised. If you’re already deep into Alexa or Google Home, it’s a neat upgrade — but the cost may feel disproportionate to the simplicity of the hardware.

Getting older means I enjoy anything that can make my life easier, and this remote for my front room blinds meets that need. I’ve always been jealous of “posh” homes with automatic blinds and drapes, and this is the next best thing without spending a fortune on custom installations. :)Set up is really easy (though there is one small caveat), and once attached to your wall, placing the beads into the roller was simple. I like that there are different size options so you can use this with different sized beads, which is a nice touch.Once connected, you can then use the remote that comes with this, or download the dedicated app and use that. For me, at least for now, the remote is fine. Movement is easy and relatively quiet, and it’s fun to be able to raise and lower my blinds from my chair. As mentioned, there is one caveat, and that’s the mechanism needs to be attached to your wall. No biggie, but it’s not really clear this is needed, so might surprise some when opening up. You can do this with the self-adhesive sticker that comes with it, or screw to your wall – the latter is more sturdy, but the adhesive also looks decent.A nice option for a more relaxing way to open and close your blinds. 🙂

Works like a charm and is really cool once well installed but there are things to know…If your blind has a “stopper” (a square piece that holds the ends of the cord together) that doesn’t go around the blind you’ll need a longer cord so this “gadget” is placed much below your blind. Also if your blind is a pull down/push up without a cord it will not work as you need a dented wheel for a beaded cord. The dongle needs to be always plugged in to work with WIFI (on timer and with Alexa or Google).Instructions are not bad but you’re better off looking at their video for which they have a website that instead of going to with a QR code they should simply write the address on the manual.Once I had it (I had to make a new cord without stopper) it worked like a charm; both with the app and Alexa. When I was programming it to lift up or go down (calibrating) in some tries it was going up and stopping 2 seconds after rising a bit and so on. Maybe something I did but it worked anyway (I calibrated many times because my blind is weird).Great for blinds you need up and down for sunshine but tend to forget… or to impress your guests!I’ll be guetting two more.Excellent buy.
