A classic child’s counting game for over 50 years! In the early 1960’s, Hi-Ho! Cherry-O was teaching young children counting, addition and subtraction. Two to four cherry-pickers join in the game, each starting with a tree full of ten plastic cherries and an empty bucket. A flick of the spinner will net you 1, 2, 3 or 4 cherries to add to your basket, but watch out! Spinning a dog, bird, or spilled bucket can quickly empty a bucket. When one lucky player fills the bucket with all ten cherries, a shout of “Hi-Ho! Cherry-O” lets everyone know who has won the round. Hi-Ho! Cherry-O makes learning as easy as 1,2,3!
HISTORY: For over 60 years parents and children have been loving Hi-Ho! Cherry-O.
THE PLAY: Spin that spinner! Children must spin the spinner to determine how many cherries to pick from their tree. First one to fill their bucket wins!
LEARN WHILE HAVING FUN!: Young children will learn turn-taking and math skills like counting, addition and subtraction.
WATCH OUT: Birds and dogs are our friends but not in Hi-Ho! Cherry-O! If the spinner lands on the bird or dog, players must put 2 cherries back onto their tree. Boohoo!
DON’T’ SPILL THE BUCKET: Oh no – you’ve spilled the bucket! Players must put all the cherries back on their tree if this happens.

Great First Game
I remember this game from when I was little. Now that I have a granddaughter I was thrilled to find they still sell this game. I am glad I paid just a bit more to get this well made version of Hi-Ho Cherry-O. There is a cheaper version, but little kids would ruin that game easily. This version comes in a cardboard box. The board itself is made of a hard plastic, so it will last through many, many toddler hands hitting the board and maybe even a tantrum or two.We have been playing this game since the granddaughter turned three and she is four and a half now. We still still play frequently, because this game if fun and educational. The cherries are a bit hard for a three year old to pick up, but it helped her to work on fine motor skills. This game teaches taking turns, sportsmanship, counting and is just fun for kids to play. This will last my family through several grandchildren. Who knows, they may even be able to keep this game for their own future children. That would not be the case with the cheaper version of this game.

A GREAT Family Game!!
I remember playing this game as a child… like 50 years ago… I was worried that it would not be as durable as the games I grew up with. It’s PERFECT!!!I purchased as a gift for one of my favorite kids and it’s wonderful for teaching Spanish/English counting. It’s also great to teach them to take turns and to win or lose. The game board is a little different than the one I grew up with, but I’m really happy with how sturdy it is. The spinner has come apart a couple of times, but it’s very easy to snap back into place.Great fun to play with the neighbor kids, which is what I do… but it’s really just a great family game.I highly recommend.

Classic game with mediocre spinner
Great to see a classic game that hasn’t been “reimagined for modern audiences”. Very good for young children overall as a concept and game. The spinner is kind of garbage, as the pointer itself isn’t that good and the cardboard itself of the spinner came slightly bent, which makes positioning the thing to actually give you a fair spin kind of hard. I can manage to spin it well with careful positioning, but for the 3 to 5 year olds that will primarily play this game I could see that being frustrating.

Easy to understand and play.
Another classic game for the grandkids ages 4-6. They loved it.

Great counting game
This is a great game for teaching kiddos counting. My 3 year old has already improved counting and I don’t think they realize they are doing math while having a good time. Sometimes the game goes by super quick, but if you end up putting cherries on and off, then it may take a few turns to complete the game.

Acheté pour développer la motricité fine de notre fille … en effet on prend les cerises avec le pouce et l’index … convient parfaitement pour cela et est de plus très sympa pour un jeu de société ..

We use this with my younger child for fine motor skill development and basic counting. It’s very easy for a young child to set up and use. The game itself is a thick plastic that should hold up well. Overall pleased with this purchase.

Muy barata calidad de plastico. Las cerezas ya faltan dos pies, una semana después de comprar. El niño tampoco está muy emocionado. Me gusta más la versión antigua, con los arboles verticales.
