Amazing game
Amazing game, loved the quality of story that was told. If you’re a star wars fan, than you’ll find the easter eggs very fun. Main character development and missions are excellent.

An underrated Star Wars experience with a great story!
I believe this game is quite underrated. Admittedly I did not experience this title on release so I was never introduced to the many issues that marred this game at launch. This review is completely based on the post 2.0 patch experience. My favorite stories in the Star Wars Universe aren’t about Jedis, Sith, Giant space stations, or planets being blown up. The universe on a micro-scale has always been far more enthralling. The day to day life, the politics, the story of the smuggler just trying to afford the next meal, the traumatic experiences of the expendable soldier, the moral quandries of fighting for a cause thats significantly larger than you’ll ever be. Star Wars has started to explore these smaller scale stories more and more and they’ve been widely successful and beloved. From Rogue One to the more restrained parts of the Mandalorian, from Bad Batch to Andor, these are stories that many Star Wars are fascinated more by.Star Wars: Outlaws is one of those tighter knit stories. It’s a story about a Kay, a person raised with a skill set that doesn’t always offer the most honest work, just trying to get by. She’s not some martyr for a cause, but not just some gun for hire. She has people she loves and just wants to live a life that isn’t constantly interrupted and ripped apart by some conflict she didn’t want a part of. Kay is a very relatable character and allows the player to really feel invested in her mission just to live her life. She’s not after glory, just meger stability, but in order to achieve that, she constantly has to everything she already has so little of.Throughout Star Wars: Outlaws you’ll visit multiple worlds, all with their own unique settings, communities, political climates. These worlds feel distinct although some can feel very small. You’ll have to manage your relationship with different syndicates and strategically think about which to benefit or harm in order for you to get ahead yourself. Star Wars: Outlaws does a pretty decent job at presenting you with choice, but the impact of those choices aren’t always as significant as you would like.Gameplay evokes a lot of simliarities to game like Uncharted and Tomb Raider. Third Person shooting and cover feels clean and isnt complex, but has a variety of ways to engage with it. Stealth is simplified and serviceable, don’t expect a Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell experience. Open world traversal is fun, but rarely challenging. Space combat is suprising well thought out and offers a lot, manuevering, positioning, evading, shield systems, capital ships, are all fun figure out and overcome the challenges they offer. I had a lot of fun exploring the larger worlds, eavesdropping on rumors, journeying out and taking down imperial bases or solving puzzles. The combat kept me engaged since I felt like I plenty of options. I felt like I could pick my battles and disengage when I needed to. There’s a faux surrender mechanic that would let you feel like misplaying stealth was less punishing. There are enviromental objects that greatly affect the battlefield. Shooting your classic red barrels to take out a slew enemies, or smoke to cover your escape, zippping up ropes to gain vantage points, a wide amount of blaster upgrades, and temporarily picking up enemy weapons had me thinking on the fly and kept me moving, utilizing the different mechanics as things wildly got out of hand. Stealth is a solid option as well, the enemies are simple and predictable and the game present some interesting enviromental challenges, while still keeping it fair and making full on stealth infiltrations possible.I throughly enjoyed my time with Star Wars: Outlaws. It has a lot of those iconic, Ubisoft-y, open world design to it, but a lot of the bloat and overused mechanics that people fatigued with Assassin’s Creed removed. The cast of characters and story kept me invested and is definitely memorable. I would reccommend this if you’re interested in a beautifully rendered, immersive Star Wars experience. Come for the Star Wars locales and story, stay for some hard-to-put-down rounds of Kessel Sabacc!

A Stunning Adventure Worth Every Credit!
I bought ‘Star Wars Outlaws for PS5’ as a gift for a friend, and it was an instant hit. Everything loaded perfectly right out of the box, and the graphics are absolutely stunning—cinematic-level detail that really brings the Star Wars universe to life. My friend has been playing nonstop and says the gameplay feels smooth, immersive, and full of excitement. From what I’ve seen, it’s one of the best-looking games on the PS5 so far. Definitely worth the purchase for any Star Wars fan or gamer who loves open-world adventures!

Fun RPG in a familiar world.
It arrived well and I was able to use the cd with my PS5 VERSION1. I dont usually like film game but this just uses the star wars world with a different main characyer so its ok. I can recommend the game to rpg fans.

OK game, not great, characters are not likeable.
Cal Kestis and crew were likeable, these characters are not. Technically a good game, underwhelming story typical of Disney Star Wars. It is worth the current price of $30, no more than that.

I haven’t bought a full price game in a long time. But upon hearing about this one and having some high expectations, I bit the bullet! When you think of a Star Wars game you’d hope to venture off onto different planets and explore the wilderness. So far I’ve been able to visit one place. Not sure if the whole game takes place on this one planet but so far it’s been pretty enough.During certain parts of the game it feels like you’ve been dropped into one of the many Star Wars shows. The busy city streets full of smoke and peddlers, of metal and sand makes you feel right at home.At first I thought this game would involve more of what we’ve come to expect from the Star Wars series. Like perhaps jedis, and the force but so far there’s been none of that. You’re just a regular human dealing with the daily grind and struggle of trying to make ends meet. You may have to perform some unsavory tasks but you’ll do what it takes to make the credits and save your behind. With all of the above said, I think the game is enjoyable. I don’t think it’s great and innovative and something hugely new. Instead, this game borrows a lot of mechanics from other games which is kind of uninspiring. For example Kay, the main character, she can traverse ledges and climb up rocky mountain sides like Lara in Tomb Raider. You have the option to use your little pet companion to briefly ‘highlight’ intractable items / people on the screen and it slowly fades away. But I have yet to find something truly unique to this game only so far. It feels like a mish mash of so many other games I’ve already played over the years.Kay’s appearance also changes a lot from cut scenes to gameplay. Like I mean it looks like she’s a different person and different ethnicity each time. It’s kind of weird. The story is starting to open up with side quests now but I’m trying to figure out what I need and how to get the items in order to finish some of these quests. There’s no exact guidance for it.I think if you want a game where you can feel like you’re a part of the Star Wars universe then definitely buy this. And if you’re okay with recycled concepts and gameplay you will really enjoy this.If you are looking for a truly unique experience and something new in a game, I’d wait for a sale. I kind of wish I had. I don’t hate this game! But I’m not really finding the ability to lose myself in it just yet.

Great game. Spent more than 100h on it with the extensions. It’s almost as good as Horizon to me.
