   Excellent if you just need one… but two units? (Update: Problem solved!)
   UPDATE: This solved a problem I didn’t even know I had. How to get in to the house when it is pitch dark and you forgot to turn the porch lights on. No problem (see the video). That, and the fact that I’m just going to hide the physical keys somewhere means that this thing ROCKS!. No real need for a locksmith. And the best thing: my old-school wife is warming up to it. Six stars when she’s all in?PRIOR REVIEW: It looks good and the handles feel good in the hand. Nice and smooth, seems to be pretty decent quality. Installation was easy and the unit looks nice. Fingerprint setup, card reader setup, password setup all went very smoothly. Physical keys work fluidly without any binding at all. Smooth bolt action (bolt seems to be hollow???), all good. the card readers (fobs) only work from a very close distance, you need to graze the reader pad. I was hoping for something more powerful like a car-key fob that communicates with the door even though it is in my pocket, but I don’t think that tech is used in any of these smart locks. The manufacturer answered this question: Can I buy three units (front, back, garage doors) and have the physical keys match and open all doors. Answer: No (one star lost) I will have to have a locksmith come out and rekey them. Of course, codes and fingerprints can be reused so that may not even be an issue for most people who want to ditch the key-fumbling. Some day I will paint over the old hardware’s shadow but it’s not terrible-looking the way it is. Good stuff, totally recommended if you need just one. MAYBE a premier brand would be able to send three units with matching keys, avoiding the additional cost I will incur with these. Or perhaps I return this and look for a company that CAN do that! OR… hide all the keys in the back yard OR… just hide one to give access to the house, as I would do even with a higher-end unit.

   Nice & Easy
   I absolutely love this smart lock! It was very easy to install and set up, and the instructions were simple to follow. The fingerprint and keypad work perfectly, and the app makes it so convenient to lock and unlock the door right from my phone. I also love that it auto-locks for extra peace of mind. The design looks modern and sleek on my door, and the handle feels sturdy and high-quality. Overall, this lock is awesome, super easy to use, and makes me feel more secure. Highly recommend!

   Great product, great service
   It’s always feels like a bit of a roll of the dice when purchasing something that has an electronic component, a mechanical component, and an app that goes with it. In this case, it was a good purchase. This is being written 3 months after we purchased it.The app: Pairing it to the app was easy. I was surprised by the functionality of the app and what could be done with the lock through the app. We had contractors going in and out of our house while we were not there, and we were able to assign each one a separate code and know when they were showing up. The fingerprint configuration was easy and works well. The app is stable and we have not had any issues doing what we need to do with it. My only complaint with the app is that it apparently requires you to be within 6 feet of the door to “remotely” unlock it, even though we also have the WiFi G2 Gateway. I wouldn’t exactly consider that “remote” unlocking. I would have expected that with it also connected to the WiFi gateway that the door could be unlocked from anywhere that has Internet service. If this is possible, I’ll update my review if I figure out how to do it.The electronic deadbolt: This has functioned perfectly, although you do need to make sure the deadbolt latch doesn’t rub against the edge of the strike plate too much or it won’t be able to lock electronically. The fingerprint sensor is a big time-saver, since it’s much quicker to unlock the door using the fingerprint sensor than by typing in a code. The only thing I don’t like is the style of the keys on the keypad. You have to press firmly on the keypad for each number, and if someone who has never used the lock needs to lock it on their way out, there’s nothing identifying how to lock it (pressing the keypad to activate the keypad then holding down the “#” key for 2 seconds is not very intuitive). However, this was not significant enough to deduct any stars on the overall rating.The handle: We initially had an issue with the handle not fully pulling in the latch to open the door. We emailed the manufacturer and sent them a video of the issue. They responded right away, asked a few questions about the issue, determined that it was a defective unit, and shipped us a new handle. We installed the replacement handle and it works great now.Overall this is a great product for the price and we’ve been super happy with it and with Smonet’s customer service. We’ve ordered another electronic deadbolt for another door now that we know this one works well.

   Totally installed myself, clear instructions. In the app, there are several ways to unlock then the door, with key, use passcode, use app via bluetooth, or remotely.However I didn’t find too many ways to lock the door. On the end I find there is a auto lock function, I can choose duration time like after unlock 20 second, then lock the door. Works every time. I used rogers security system, I always need to go back and check if I lock the door or not. But with this one, I can just forget it cause I know it will auto lock itself.

   It works for the first one month then it does lock/unlock at all u have to do it manually which is annoying. Tried to reach out to customer support but no one is answering tried to return it but i cant ! Just waste of money!

   Received the first lock and unfortunately it was a manufacturing defect that wouldnt allow it to pass the initial ‘locking’ test. I was able to go through support through whattsapp which was convenient as I use this method to talk or communicate with friends and family so that was very easy and almost received a reply from the support team right away. They provided a replacement which was the wrong color, then they shipped another one within the same day and the new replacement was received very quickly, almost only a few days apart from the initial issue which was lightning fast IMO. The replacement works well and the RFC cards are very convenient for us to now open without any issues, great lock and love the support that we had received. Will purchase again in the future.
