It’ll always be in my hair wash routine
I love the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic + Gloss High Shine Leave-In Conditioner. It makes my hair feel instantly softer and smoother, and the shine is noticeable without making my hair greasy or heavy. It helps tame frizz, adds a healthy glossy finish, and makes my hair much easier to style. A little goes a long way, and it works great with the shampoo and conditioner.

Where’s the shine?
I tried using this on one side of my hair and have not noticed any difference in shine between the two sides. It did feel a little more slippery/plasticy on the side with the product though.The fragrance is very strong and smells of “product” so it smells very expensive but doesn’t seem to be working for me.

Don’t hate it but don’t love it
This serum smells good and mixes into my hair nicely. It doesn’t leave it feeling like I have product in my hair. My hair is soft and I can run my fingers through it. However, I don’t see much difference between when I use it and when I don’t. Maybe it’s my hair and others have a different result, but for me I probably won’t repurchase just because Im not seeing enough benefit too. I don’t hate this product but I don’t love it either

I have been using this hair serum for about 3 weeks now. The results certainly have not been drastic. Not enough difference to warrant taking a photo of my hair. This has been my experience:1) I found that I noticed more results when applying this to my hair when it was dry, rather than putting it in when it was damp. The instructions say either is fine.2) I am in a very dry climate in winter. The heaters coming on often make everything including my hair very dry and static-y. I found if I applied this to the lower half of my hair once it is dry, it tames some, but not all of the static in my hair. I find that I still need to add some wax to keep the static down after I apply this serum.3) The nice part of applying this is that it doesn’t add weight to my hair, which I appreciate because my hair is very fine and straight.4) The smell is quite strong. Not the type of product to wear in a scent-free environment. I am very sensitive to smells, especially fragrance & perfume. The smell on this is kind of sweet smelling. I don’t find it repulsive, but it is a bit strong for my scent sensitivity. That said, I have had comments from other people while I am wearing this saying that I smell good. It must be this product because I usually steer clear of scented products.5) I haven’t noticed any drastic results in about 3 weeks of consistent use. The bottle does say to pair it with their “Glycolic Gloss” shampoo and conditioner, which I have not done. I have only been using this product on it’s own.6) I use henna to colour my hair. I am due for a colouring. I can tell because my hair is feeling extra dry. I mix the henna with olive oil and leave it in overnight, which then gives my hair a good deep condition. I am curious if the results of using this serum will be different after my henna/oil treatment, but I suspect the results will be about the same as they are now.7) I have mid length hair which is pretty thick, but also fine and straight. I have been using this on the bottom half of my hair for about 3 weeks, using it about 85% – 90% of the time. I have missed a few days. During this time, I have used approximately 1/8th of this bottle. A little seems to go a long way. That’s probably the dimethicone in it. Reminds me of how silicone lubricant feels, but a little bit “lighter” feeling overall. Maybe closer to a water-based/silicone hybrid lube consistency… 🤔8) As I said above, the results have not been drastic. It mostly just helps to smooth my ends out and my hair looks a little “nicer”, more smooth and “tidy” when I put in on dry hair. I don’t notice a different when I apply it to my wet hair, even if I blow dry my hair.I think I will keep using this product because I do not want to waste it. Maybe the results will improve with more time. I am unsure if I will buy more once it is gone, at this point I suspect I will not. It’s not really a “must” have for me.

I have been using this leave-in serum for a couple weeks now and really like it. I only wash my hair about 2 times a week and already use a leave-in conditioner so have only used this serum on dry hair. In the mornings my hair is usually a bit frizzy, so I’ve been adding a couple pumps of serum on the ends of my shoulder length hair. It’s really helping to remove the frizz so my hair looks more healthy and less dry looking.The serum is clear and smells nice. It smells pretty strong out of the bottle, but after applying in my hair the scent isn’t as strong. It leaves nice smell in my hair in between washes. It also doesn’t make my hair feel oily or weighed down, which was an issue for me in another gloss product I had tried. If anything, this serum gives it a little more bounce. Since I only use a couple pumps a day, this bottle is going to last a long time, so is a great value.

I got this for my gf to try. She decided to be a sport and give it a try and see what it was about. She has fine, thin hair, and this product wasn’t for her unfortunately. She tried an average dollop of product after a shower, and she said it felt like it made her hair greasy. She is also sensitive to scents and perfumes and she said this one was a bit more than she liked. I’ve read other reviews stating they used less product for better results so she gave it a try again taking those suggestions. She said the performance did improve with less product. Her hair wasn’t nearly as greasy feeling, but she is definitely not a fan of this product. I’m sure there are many people who would love this product and it would work great for them, fine hair is not among those.

I went into this thinking it was a spray, but it’s actually a pump serum and honestly, that worked out even better for me. The texture is very thin, almost watery, which makes it incredibly easy to distribute through the hair without overloading it.I’ve been using it mainly as a finishing serum after my blowout, and this is where it really gives shine. It gives my hair a sleek, glossy finish while still feeling lightweight and silky, not greasy or weighed down. My hair looks polished and smooth.The fragrance is soft and floral, pleasant but not overpowering, which I appreciate especially for a leave in product. It layers well with other styling products and doesn’t compete with perfume.Overall, this is a great option if you want hydration and shine without heaviness. If you’re expecting a spray, just note the pump packaging but the formula itself is effective, and perfect for finishing or light daily use. I’ll definitely keep this in my blowout routine.

I have type 1B hair, so my hair is very fine, thinner and doesn’t like to hold curl.I decided to give this serum a try, but I learned very quickly this this is definitely not for type 1 hair (or, at least, it can be if used sparingly).First off, if you’re sensitive to scent, know that this serum is VERY perfumed. I saw someone say it’s light – maybe for them it is, but for me, who is very sensitive to smells, this is VERY strongly scented. It’s a nice scent! Just strong.I tried a good amount (about quarter size) on my damp hair, only using it on the bottom half, not on the roots at all. My hair is below shoulder length, so I thought that amount would be good. Boy, did it make my hair look greasy and heavy. That’s the day I realized this is too heavy a product for my hair.The next time I tried it, I only used a pea size amount, and I only used it on the ends of my hair. My hair tends to flip at the ends, so I thought the heaviness might be good for that, and I was right. My hair hung a little bit better and wasn’t so greasy since it was only used on my ends. And best of all, no flip!If you have fine, thinner, straight hair, this may not be the product for you unless you’re like me and trying to weigh down the ends a bit. But I imagine for thicker, courser, even curly hair, this would be a great product, and it would make your hair smell nice.
