A must for your hair ritual
Wow is all I could say when I came across this book! What a lovely subject to write a book on! Frankly speaking I have been suffering from itchy scalp from I don’t remember when and I have tried everything and all remedies offer at best a temporary relief and then you are back to square one. From expensive shampoos to all natural ones, I’ve given everything a try but nothing seems to work for my supersensitive scalp, most probably because the ingredients that are being put in it are not within my control. So when this book comes along with its extensive recipes for shampoos that I could make for myself knowing each ingredient that goes into it and also knowing if I may react to it there is only one thing I felt, relief. It’s a wonderful book, giving all the lowdown as to how to make shampoos and also an huge list of shampoo recipes! So get going!

Recipes to make natural and organic shampoo
This is perfect for girls, even for some guys/boys. So, I am going to give a copy of this book to my mother and wife. I have been using soap for my hair that’s why I’ve got a lot of dandruff. I also want to try anti-dandruff shampoo on this book. I have been struggling with my dandruff for years now. Even though I tried a lot of brand but nothing works. Maybe, this brand can help me totally remove my dandruff. Also, this book shows exact measurement per ingredient of a shampoo which I really like. I can also use this or include this as a prospect business of mine in the future. Organic shampoo must rule, over other synthetic shampoo, because it has no side effects.

She told me that it’s not good to wash your hair every day
I’ve never really been one to pay close attention to my hair since I can always just shave it off if I don’t want to deal with it anymore, but recently my girlfriend told me something weird that got me interested. She told me that it’s not good to wash your hair every day. I looked into it more and it seems to be true. I also found things that said a lot of the chemicals found in store bought shampoos actually don’t do anything or make it worse. I thought that I’d look into natural shampoo alternatives, but there aren’t that many out there that I didn’t find similar problems with. Since the only way for me to truly know the ingredients that are in my products is to make it myself, I thought I’d try my hand at it. This book has a lot of recipes for DIY shampoos that can be suited to your hair type and to do specific things with your hair, like taking out the frizz. It can also be scented any way you like, which is pretty good. I know my girl likes really strong smelling shampoos and having great hair, so she’s not complaining here!

A basic (very basic) primer but some good recipes
If you’ve been paying attention lately, you know that even “good shampoos” can be full of chemicals that are bad for people and ingredients that are terrible for the environment. This book’s a valuable intro to making your own product, quickly, easily, and cheaply. The basic honey shampoo recipe could not be easier and although it sounds like it might leave your hair a sticky, oily mess (honey and oil), the added liquid castile soap makes it highly rinsable, so long as you don’t overdo the “dollop.” (The author suggests applying directly to wet hair.)Like a lot of these quickie ebooks devoted to a single topic, the filler material is filled with statements that are meant to sound knowledgeable but come off like low-rent advertising copy: Studies have shown that most people want a thick head of hair that is glossy and soft to touch. There’s also a piece of advice suggesting the reader make his/her shampoo a few days before use—not because the ingredients need time to blend, but so they’ll have some when they need it. Sigh. That seems…kind of obvious. Also, if funky formatting bothers you, this book will drive you crazy with its huge spaces in the chapter heads, especially as well as typos (“protect against moisture loos” directions to use coffee beans that have been “grinded”).If you can get this on a freebie promotion (as I did) or for 99 cents or so, these basic recipes deliver on the promise of homemade shampoos that strengthen, brighten, smooth, and generally take good care of your hair. There’s even a recipe for adding a chocolate-brown tint to your hair with—you guessed it—chocolate.

Not worth wasting your time
This book is based on ready made castille soap and then adding ingredients for specific hair needs. It does not contain instructions on how to make natural shampoo from scratch. Also and more important, the title suggests that there is information on hair conditioners and there is absolutely none! All the book is about is adding questionable food and other “natural” ingredients to shampoo base.

Great Read!!!!
I’m a creative person and I admire DIY projects. Admittedly, I had little-to-no interest in making shampoo. But like the idea of learning a new skill and I like making girls. I wouldn’t make shampoo for myself but I would use these recipes to make something special for someone special :). So I’m in. This book is a great how-to guide on making your own healthy shampoos. These recipes provide healthy organic ways to clean your hair without using harmful chemicals which kill your hair. There’s the value right here and the major thing is you learn something. Its a great book for that. On a side note: I have made my own shampoo for myself. I decided to give it a shot and make a shampoo for my beard. So far so good! I love the results.

It’s easy to follow and I highly recommend it to anyone …
If you have ever wanted to make your own shampoos to avoid all the chemically enhanced versions, than this is the definitive book. It has so many recipes and most of them are quite simple. They require a little bit of planning to gather the right ingredients, but once you have the basic stuff you can make so many varieties. It’s easy to follow and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try their own shampoos.
